Oxford physics graduate who has done research and teaching, computer programming and health service research. Member of Oxford City Council since 1992 and Oxfordshire County Council since 2001. Jean has taken an active interest in environmental and traffic matters and is increasingly worried about climate change. She is on the committee of the Cutteslowe Community Association and has recently taken an active interest in the Social and Health Care responsibilities of the County Council. Main hobby when time permits is gardening. Two grandchildren. School governor since 1992, formerly of Frideswide Middle School, now of The Cherwell Secondary School.
